MRSC/Irish Fan Meeting Point
We do not have a specific meeting point in the area on Sunday as no venues could take any sort of significant numbers on their own. Please see the below some suggestions:
Wembley Fanzone (Open to match ticket holders only – mostly outdoors)
The London Fanzones are different than the ones in Cardiff. The Wembley Stadium Fan Zone will only be open pre-match (from 11:00 to 4.15pm) and will not be open after the game. Reports last week suggest that queuing and large crowds can be a problem and it’s recommended that inside the stadium is a better option once it opens (from 14:15).
Pubs Around Wembley:
There are loads of pubs around but many would struggle with numbers. Some that come recommended are the Queensbury in Willesden, NLT and Black Lion in Kilburn and The Crown in Cricklewood. On top of that there are several old Irish pubs in the area (more than 15) that should be playing traditional music on a Sunday night. There are spread out across Neasden, Cricklewood, Willesden and Kilburn. They all serve food too. Supporters should be aware that the bars very near the stadium increase their prices for events.
Local Rugby Club: Kilburn Cosmos RFC, 162 Anson Road.
This is the only union club close to Wembley, it has plenty of Irish members and will be open both pre and post game. To get there, there is a 15 minute walk from Dollis Hill station, which is two stops away from Wembley Park station on the Jubilee line. To reach the venue, take the northern exit from the station into Burnley Road and walk straight ahead into Hamilton Road. Turn right at the end along Kendal Road and continue into Anson Road. Kilburn Cosmos is on the left hand side after the junction with Melrose Avenue.
