Due to the success of the Junior Club Job for a Day last season, we are once again offering the opportunity to a lucky few Junior MRSC Members to work in one of six positions on a real live Munster Rugby match day.
Members will be in the draw for the chance to work at one of our two preseason games in the Kearys Renault Series: Munster v Zebre, Waterford RSC, Friday August 19th or Munster v Worcester Warriors, Irish Independent Park, Friday August 26th.
This year is set to be even bigger and better with the positions we have available for members as follows:
- MRSC Photographer: Taking photos of the fans pre and post-game in the Fan Zone and capturing the action on the field from the side-line. (Camera will be provided for the day)
- Roving Reporter: Work alongside the Munster Rugby Communications team including the digital content creator. Jobs may include capturing content from the day, tweeting and possibly even a pitch side interview!
- Nutritionist’s Assistant: Junior Member to be on hand to assist Munster's Performance Nutritionist Catherine Norton as she prepares appropriate foodstuffs for before, during and after the game.
- Assistant Events Coordinator: Assisting the Munster Rugby Event Manager in the coordination of match day, running pitch side activities, working with the PA announcer and picking the Junior Club man of the match.
- Ball Boy/Girl: Working from the side-lines during warm up and during the game feeding the rugby balls back to the Munster squad as needed for lineouts and restarts.
- Oscars Helper: Organising Oscar to be where he needs to be to meet all his fans, both outside and throughout the stadium
The lucky members will meet with their Mentors before the game and learn all about what they do and help them to do it. You will get unrivalled access to the stadium and be able to get up close to all the action from behind the scenes.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of being 'hired' for the day is send your CV with your picture, your name, and your details including your Junior Club membership number to ciaralyons@munsterrugby.ie before Friday July 29th. Please let us know which pre-season game you would prefer to work at and which position you think you would be best at. Your CV doesn't have to be long or professional looking, just let us know why you think you would be the best young person for the job!
You can check out how everyone got on last year at Munster v London Irish here and Munster v Grenoble here
Best of Luck!
