Minister Eamon Ryan, Heineken Cup Free To Air

Minister Eamon Ryan’s proposal to move Heineken Cup matches to Free to Air Television Dear Member, As you will by now know, Minister Eamon Ryan has commenced consultation with the IRFU in which he proposes to bring Heineken Cup Rugby back to Free to Air Television. In an effort to assist members in making an informed choice on the matter, the MRSC committee has written to both the IRFU and the Minister. The MRSC Committee has asked both parties to set out their respective arguments on this issue. At the time of publishing this news item, the Minister or his Department have yet to respond to emails from the MRSC as well as phone calls lodged with his office. We hope to publish any response from the Minister as soon as we have received same. No doubt this issue is controversial, we would ask that members take time to inform themselves on the issue and make your choice accordingly.
